HOUSES
Typical automations for houses include the following features, to which any others the client wants can be added.
- App and automatic control of indoor and outdoor lighting (for example: when the outdoor light level drops, the outdoor ambient lights turn on)
- An alert in the app when the flood sensors detect water, and a command to close the water supply solenoid valve
- Gas sensors
- Presence sensors
- App and automatic control of the room thermostats (for example: when the house is in Away mode, the target temperature is lowered to save energy)
- Alarm panel automations (for example the outdoor lights turn on, the indoor lights flash like a strobe, a sound is played on the audio system, the security monitoring centre is alerted, etc.). Another option is to arm the alarm panel automatically when the presence sensors show that nobody is in the house or the yard. Statistics say that in 80% of cases people leave home and forget to arm the alarm.

- Control of the apartment’s thermostats from the mobile app
- Control of the apartment’s heating boiler from the app
- Viewing the vehicle access camera of the residential complex from a phone or from the tablet installed in the apartment, and opening the entrance barrier
- Opening the access gate of the residential complex from the mobile app or from the tablet in the apartment

- Reporting in the app of the energy produced by the solar panels and of the energy consumed
- Notifying the hotel manager and/or guests when guests can charge their electric cars for free (the energy produced exceeds the hotel’s consumption in that time slot)
- Starting consumers when there is surplus energy (washing machines, etc.)
- Heating water in buffer tanks with surplus energy (used later for heating or hot water)
- Control of the hotel room thermostats
- Control of the hotel room lighting
- Manual control by guests or automatic control of the room curtains. For example in summer, if the presence sensor shows the room is empty and the light sensor shows strong sunlight, the curtains close automatically to reduce the energy used for cooling.
- Hotel room access with the guest card
- Guest access to the breakfast area or the spa with the guest card, removing the need for an employee to check people against the room list
- Automatic closing of the water solenoid valve of a room when the presence sensor reports that nobody is in the room and the water meter shows consumption (the valve opens again when someone is present in the room)
- Automation rules to optimise the hotel’s energy consumption (statistics say that 70% of the energy consumed by hotels goes to heating/cooling and hot water)
