Privacy policy

The controller of your data is VOID POINTER SRL (VAT RO33823925, Trade Register J22/1768/2014), which provides automation services under the autom8connect brand.

• Form data (the contact form and the automation form): your name, email address, phone number, town or city, message and, in the automation form, the information about the building that you choose to provide (the type of building and its stage, approximate floor area, number of floors, the systems you have or are planning). We also keep the date of submission, the IP address it was sent from and your confirmation that you have read this policy.
• Spam protection data: on pages with forms we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyses technical signals from your browser (e.g. your IP address and browser characteristics) to tell humans apart from bots.
• Visit statistics: the address of the page visited, the website you came from, browser type, operating system and device, language, screen size and country (derived from the IP address, which is not stored).
• Server technical logs: IP address, date and time, requested address and browser, for each request.

We do not ask you for sensitive data, and please do not include any in your messages. Filling in the forms is voluntary, but without your contact details we cannot reply to you.

• To reply to you and prepare a quote for you – legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep a record of enquiries and get back to you with questions or details about the project, in our internal customer management system – legal basis: our legitimate interest in managing relationships with prospective customers (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To protect the website and the forms against spam, abuse and attacks – legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To see, in aggregate, how many visits the website receives and which pages are read – legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the website, without cookies and without identifying visitors (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To comply with legal obligations if you become a customer (for example, financial and accounting obligations) – legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We do not use your data for email marketing without your separate consent, we do not sell it and we do not make automated decisions that affect you.

• Enquiries submitted through the forms: for as long as we are discussing the project and, if we do not end up working together, for no more than 3 years from the last contact, after which we delete them. If you become a customer, the data becomes part of the contract records and is kept for the duration of the contract and thereafter for as long as the law requires (for example, financial and accounting legislation).
• Visit statistics: these contain neither your IP address nor any other data that could identify you; we keep them for as long as the website is in operation.
• Server technical logs: for a short period, normally no more than 30 days.
• Server backups: these are replaced periodically, and deleted data also disappears from them in the following backup cycles.

• Autom8admin, our internal customer and project management system: every enquiry submitted through the website is sent there automatically so that we can follow it up. The system is also operated by VOID POINTER SRL, on servers managed by us, and is not accessible to other companies.
• Our email server, through which we receive a notification of each enquiry at contact@autom8connect.com.
• Infrastructure providers that host the servers and the encrypted backups, in the European Union; they have no access to the content of the data for their own purposes.
• Cloudflare, Inc., for the Turnstile anti-spam check on the forms. Cloudflare may also process technical data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
• Public authorities, only when required by law.

Visit statistics are not passed on to third parties: they are collected by an Umami instance installed on our own servers.

The public website does not set any cookies in your browser and does not store anything else on your device; that is why we do not ask for your consent through a cookie banner.

For statistics we use Umami, open-source software hosted by us (stats.autom8connect.com). It counts visits without cookies, does not store your IP address and does not track you across other websites; visits from the same device in the same month are grouped using a computed code that does not allow you to be identified. If you do not want to be counted, you can block the statistics script in your browser (for example with an ad blocker), with no effect on how the website works.

The website’s only cookie belongs to the administration area, is strictly necessary for logging in and is used only by the website administrator.

You have the right to ask us for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and portability of the data you have provided to us. You may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest, and where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at contact@autom8connect.com; we will reply within one month at the latest. If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), www.dataprotection.ro, or with the data protection authority of the EU country where you live.

All traffic to and from the website is encrypted (HTTPS). Form data is stored on servers managed by us, and access to the administration area is protected by a password and two-factor authentication. Only the team members who need the data to reply to you have access to it.

We may update this policy when the website, our services or the law change. The version in force is always the one on this page, with the date of the last update shown below the title.
